Terminal Hangar Facility

Progressive Construction Management was sought after by the New Mexico Spaceport Authority Project Coordinator to provide Development Task Management and technical reviews of the Terminal Hangar Facility and the infrastructure packages for the entire Spaceport America complex. The total estimated project cost to date total more the $225 million.

PCM is only one of a handful of Construction Management firms in the world to possess the expertise and talent necessary to provide design oversight and guidance on construction of a Terminal Hangar Facility to house commercial space vehicles.

PCM is the single point of contact for the design development task of the Terminal Hangar Facility and works directly with Virgin Galactic and Fosters and Partners, located in London, England and URS located in Albuquerque.

Responsibilities include:

• Critical Path and Milestone Completion Scheduling
• Cost to Progress Analysis
• Attend NMSA Executive level meetings with Virgin Galactic
• Third Party contract review and negotiations
• Technical Reviewer of all Infrastructure Design Packages prepared by DMJM Aviation

  • Water Distribution and Waste Water Treatment Plant
  • Life Safety/data Communications
  • Internal Roadways
  • Airfield Runways
  • Airfield Rescue and Fire Fighting building
  • Contract Review and Negotiations with Virgin Galactic
  • Identify, Convey, and Disseminate needs of NMSA to Design Teams
• Construction Contract Consultant/Advisor
• Development Task Manager and Design Review of the Terminal Hangar Facility (THF).
• LEED Coordination and Clean Energy Grant Consultation
