Spaceport America – New Mexico Spaceport Authority

PCM performed development task management for the New Mexico Spaceport Authority (NMSA) and conducted technical reviews of the Gateway to Space Facility and the infrastructure packages for the entire Spaceport America complex. The total estimated project cost to date, is more the $225 million.

PCM is currently the single point of contact for the design development task of the Gateway to Space Facility and works directly with Virgin Galactic and Fosters and Partners, located in London, England and URS located in Albuquerque. PCM is also currently working with Virgin Galactic on the company’s tenant improvement of the Gateway to Space Facility at Spaceport America.

Key Project Responsibilities
Served as the Development Task Manager and Design Reviewer of the Gateway to Space Facility
Performed critical path and milestone completion scheduling
Performed third-party contract reviews and negotiations
Reviewed all infrastructure design packages prepared by DMJM Aviation
Infrastructure packages included: electrical power distribution, water distribution, waste water treatment plant, life safety/data communications, internal roadways, airfield runways, airfield rascue and fire fighting building
Coordinated communication from the NMSA to the Design teams
Served as the Construction Contract Consultant/Advisor
Performed LEED coordination and clean energy grant consultation
